To begin a game, choose which difficulty level you wish to play. The harder the level, the more the payoff will be for winning! To play, you simply have to click on any of the neggs on the board. If you click on a negg that does not have any bad neggs surrounding it, it will clear all of the surrounding neggs as well, up until it reaches a negg that does have a trap next to it. You may even get a bonus if you clear multiple neggs with one click! If you can successfully clear all of the neggs without clicking on any of the traps, you win all the points that have racked up in the Jackpot!

Neggsweeper is the Neopets version of Mine Sweeper.
You start off with grey neggs which you have to reveal, but, the trick is NOT to reveal squares with red neggs beneath them. You want to reveal by clicking either blank squares or squares with numbers.
The number that you reveal lets you know how many red neggs are surrounding that square. If you reveal a 1, then of the 8 squares surrounding that 1, there is only 1 red negg. Same goes if you reveal a 2(then there would be 2 red neggs in the surrounding squares).
You use the numbers of the squares you've revealed to help you. If you have a 2 and a 1 next to eachother, than by elimination, of the squares the 2 and the 1 share, there can only be at the most 1 negg within those squares. It takes a second to wrap your brain around this, if you look at the screenshot while reading, maybe it's easier to digest.
So, you've figured out where a red negg is. You want to flag it so you don't accidentally click it later, and to do that, you hold down the CTRL button on your keyboard and click the square you wish to flag. The game will refresh and now there will be a bright red "X" over the (hopefully) red negg you flagged.
Bonus Neggs:
Sometimes you will click a square and it will refresh with a random event saying you uncovered a special negg, the value of the negg can be worth anywhere from 50-500 points!
Point System:
For every normal square (blank/numbered) you reveal, your remaining goes down and your jackpot goes up. Reveal all the normal squares and leave only the red neggs(marked x!) and you win the game.
There aren't any secret codes for this game, it's definitely a straightforward old school classic in that respect. Good ol' luck(those random negg events really help to boost the score) and strategy will get you a high score on this game.
