Jazan and the Nightseed leave the room and Jazan says: "Why do you think you didn't change?" Nightseed says: "I don't know, maybe I had been cursed for too long ... Actually, I don't mind. I did exactly what the prophecy commanded. Yet my people remain monsters, and my city lies in ruins ... My dear, I know this is not the life you imagined. I cannot bear to see you in this doomed place. I beg of you, return to Sakhmet where you will be among the living." Nabile replies: "It is true. I do miss my friends and the bustle of the city. But my love, I could never leave you." After many long talks, Nabile agrees to return to Sakhmet. There she will search for answers and hopefully find a way to end the curse of Qasala ... For Nabile the days fly by as she desperately searches for answers. But sometimes answers come in the most unexpected ways ... Outside the sky is getting darker and a guard shouts: "There is a storm coming. Sound the alarm!" Another guard says to him: "That cloud is moving too fast. I've never seen anything like that." Her father cast her out of the palace and left her to live in poverty with her husband ... If she is truly a descendant of princess Neera then she is of royal blood Amira distant cousin." Amira angrely replies: "I will never wed a foolish imposter such as you. There is no city of Qasala. I don't know who you are, but you are not welcome inside these city gates, guards!" Then a storm sets up around Jazan and magic comes out of his hands: "Princess, you will regret dis honouring me ... You will pay for mocking me. The armies of Qqasala are stronger and more powerfull than ever, as you will soon find out dearest princess." The citizens are scared and run away: "What's happening to him? ... He's a monster!" Jazan: "I ask you one more time to marry me and fulfil the prophecy that was set down ages ago." But Amira doesn't give the answer Jazan hopes: "You will never frighten me into marriage, you fiend!" Back in Sakhmet, business carries on as usual. The desert scarabs continue to "borrow" from other citizensto make ends meet. Right after they have borrowed some stuff from a merchant, he sreams to a guard of Sakhmet: "These urchins have robbed me again! What are you going to do about it?" The guard: "This gang is particularly sneaky. We've had a hard time catching any of them." But the merchant is not interested in that: "It's your job. I pay my taxes, y'know. The next time, I'll take my complaint directly to the princess!" The princess, however, rarely concerns herself with the problems of commen merchants. She is in the midst of planning a great celebration: "This is going to be so grand. Enarka, I will make a public announcement today!" Enarka says: "Yes, My Lady. I will begin the arrangements." The word soon spreads throughout the city that the Princess will appear before her people ... But unknown to Amira or her advisors, Prince Jazan has set out for Sakhmet once more. Jazan says to his Uni friend: "Patience, my friend. She will not refuse me again ... one way or another , I will be wed ..." Meanwhile, Tomos, Nabile and Horace sit on the wall around Sakhmet looking over the desert. Tomos says: "These Ummagines are amazing. Pass me another, Horace." Nabile then sees something coming from the desert towards Sakhmet: "Hey, what's that?" Tomos says: "It's that rich guy we followed the other day. Let's get him!" Nabile then asks: "So we jump down and ambush a noble in fullview of the guards? No thanks! ... I have a better idea. Let's hide a little way out along the path and jump him as he leaves. What do you say, horace? Are you in?" Horace says while eating a ummagine: "Er ... no thanks. That sounds pretty risky." Tomos is more interested: "Well, what are we waiting for?" And so Tomos and Nabile sneak out of the city to carry out their plan to ambush the prince ... as princess Amira appears before her people to make the grand announcement.

09/08/2005 | Chapter 3 : Searcing for evidence
The third part of our Lost Desert plot has just been launched.

Two of the Desert Scarabs, Tomos and Nabile, follow the stranger far into the desert. Tomos is tired and asks: "Whose stupid idea was this?" Nabile answers: "Yours, so shut up and keep moving." Then they find a ruin far away and Tomos asks: "Where on earth are we?" The duo searched amongst the ruins trying to find clues as to where the mysterious prince and his Uni friendwent. But they had little success. Nabile says: "This place has been dead a long time ... They can't just have disappeared. They must be hiding here somewhere." Tomos continues: "They're here -- But where is here? In all the stories of the desert, I've never heard about a ruined city." Back in Sakhmet, others are wondering the same thing ... Amira orders her advisors to research into the prince's background and the city he claims to rule - Qasala ... One of the advisors informs Amira of what has been found sofar: "My Lady, we have found something about this Qasala, but there can be no truth to the stranger's claim." Amira asks the advisor: "Really? Do go on. Why have I not heard of such a place?" The advisor: "According to this historical record, Qasala WAS a thriving city with a well respected royal family ... The whole city was obliterated in a terrible sandstorm over 200 years ago. I'll give this imposter some credit. He did his research, but he is no match for our records!" Amira thaks her advisor: "Thank you Enarka, as always you have proved invaluable." But Tomos and Nabile the street urchins know nothing of this, as they search the ruins for some sign of the mysterious prince ... Then a scarabug jumps by and Tomos screams: "Let's go Nabile. This place is spooky." Nabile replies: "We haven't found so much as a rusty coin. We're not going back without something to show for it." Tomos says: "There's nothing here but dust and rocks. No coins, no prince, nothing. Let's go home while there's still enough light to see the way." With nothing to show for their trouble, the two friends head back to Sakhmet, unaware that they are being watched ... because Prince Jazan was there afterall: "See, my friend? They left without trouble ... But it won't be long before they become my loyal subjects, when the princess is mine and the prophecy has been fulfilled."

Er... yes, these scrolls for the first "plot". Okay, first of all, what are these "scrolls" going to be called? Second of all, will you be able to "sell" them? Third, I don't know what price they will go for one of these "scrolls". Fourth, the other plots had their parts shown out loud. Why isn't the Lost Desert plot going to show theirs in public? Fifth, how will it go and will it include the battledome still and that supporters thing? Sixth, have you ever considered of having three sides battling each other? In the last plot, it would have been okay to do: "Captain Scarblade vs. Garin vs. Maraqua"... right? Finally, (sorry to make you read this entire message everyone!) once you read them, will they vanish? Because if you're aiming to sell them once you read them... then, it's like take one and pass it on, without losing any neopoints. I will be participating, and mine is this long because it's all over my mind. Thanks for reading, and please answer back. - Mattextra3 Wow, thats a lot of questions. Firstly the first part of the plot (the first comic) will go live next week. You will be able to see every part of the story as they go live, the same way they last two plots worked.
The scrolls are part of something special we are doing with this plot. Basically rather than just having a war to decide who gets what, there will be many puzzles, many fights and some other challenges for you to do in order to earn points. The scrolls may be used in that, just as a hint, if you see one, hold on to it. I can't tell you more than that as I have already given away a lot :) Just keep checking new features.
